BlueLithium Inc. on Tuesday named Scott L. Kauffman president and chief operating officer.
San Jose-based BlueLithium said Kauffman's post is a new one.
He was previously with Zinio Systems Inc., which has an office in San Francisco and provides digital publishing and marketing services.
"We're growing rapidly, which requires the attention of both a CEO and a president," said Gurbaksh Chahal, founder, chairman and CEO of BlueLithium.
Kauffman's background includes positions at CompuServe Inc. (NASDAQ:CSRV) and Time Warner Inc. (NYSE:TWX).
Besides its San Jose headquarters, venture-funded BlueLithium has offices in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
